Postnatal Support for You
What does my postnatal support include?
Depending on your set-up and needs, my support can look different for each family. However, I will always do my best to ensure that you rest and replenish. At our first complimentary* meeting, we will write a postnatal care plan to ensure that you get the support you wish for (yet, I can still be flexible and adapt to changes that may arise during your postpartum journey).
Supporting you could mean looking after your baby while you take a nap or have a bath. It could also mean assisting you with feeding, infant care, light household tasks and childcare for older children. Different strengthening and pampering treatments are also part of my offer. My aim is for you to enjoy this special time as carefree and supported as possible. Finally, I bring little gifts to aid your recovery, as well as an open ear and gentle touch.
*Depending on where you live, I may need to ask for a contribution for my fuel expenses.
Warm, nourishing foods
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda and other traditions, food is one of the main pillars of good postnatal care. As part of my support, I will cook stews for you, prepare lovely sweet treats and provide you with warm drinks that support you in your healing and in recovering your strength. All these can be adapted to your dietary needs and preferences.
Other supporting Therapies
Should it be your wish, I can support you with holistic offers, such as herbal baths, massage, and Moxa therapy. If desired, I will also provide you with herbs for Sitzbaths and other areas of postpartum recovery.
Your Investment in Postnatal Support
You can book me at any time during your pregnancy (as part of your plan for postpartum), as well as, after your baby is born, or as a support when your baby is already older.
As a mum and the oldest of eight, I have plenty of experience in infant care and looking after children.
I'm also fully DBS checked and completed my training as a breastfeeding peer supporter with the Breastfeeding Network. I hold a Level 2 certificate in Safeguarding Children.
My fees are £ 20 per hour. That includes ingredients for the lovely, organic food I bring to you (which I cook at my own home).
You can book me for a block of hours that you may want to use individually (The minimum there would be a block of 2 hours).
Or...
You can book me for 20 hours >
- £ 20 x 20 h = £ 400
Or for 40 hours
- £ 20 x 40 h = £ 800
(You can book any amount of hours, with 2-hour slots being the minimum)
For postnatal support, I usually take payments in full before your baby is born.
I cover Helston, the Lizard and surroundings. Also, Truro, Falmouth and Penzance areas. (Pretty much anything that is within a one-hour drive from Helston)
*Depending on where you're based, I might need to charge for fuel expenses.
